The Sea Stars

A delicate blend of lightness & darkness. Musical thoughts from the quiet hidden shadows of our hearts and minds. That is one descrption of the music of acoustic folk rock duo, Kurt Baumann & Katie Gray. Since meeting in November of 2008, they have been creating music together ever since.

Kurt is the former lead singer and an original member of the group Kan'Nal, and also spent much of 2009 as the front man/vocalist for the electro-pop band, Freeland (featuring the work of Grammy nominated DJ, Adam Freeland).

Before her collaboration with Kurt, Katie had spent her performing career as a solo act with her guitar. She has focused her energy on the richness of her voice and the art of songwriting. Her song "Set Free" from the album “From Far Away” was featured on the television show “Bones.”

Both artists have featured songs on FOX, ABC, STARZ, and the CW Television Network and many radio stations.

Lil Sum'n Sum'n

Gil Gonzalez & Lisa Wimberger make up Lil Sum'n Sum'n, one of the most beloved groups in the Denver/Boulder area. They are a duet born out of the collective projects of Kan'Nal and Lunar Fire. It is an improvisational psy-trance experience featuring a world beat made up of middle eastern, afro-cuban, african, and american influences. Haung drums, tablas, doumbeks, dounouns, congas, shakers, udus, drones, ballaphones, and tap dancing drive rhythms that range from primal dance to meditational journeying.
